Jimmys House Band

Jimmys House Band burst on to the scene just over a year ago. They are 6 young guys with a genuine love of music of any variety. All are top musicians; many of whom are making names for themselves on the London circuit, playing worldwide renowned Jazz venues such as the Jazz Café, The Bulls Head and Brecon Jazz festival.

Even in this short space of time they have grown and evolved - now boasting four talented male and female lead singers. All are deliberately contrasting to ensure that their weekly residencies continue to enjoy the broad array of genres the band can offer.

Whether it be a stomping party set you are after, modern R’n’B, Soul, Ratpack Classics, Funk or Instrumental Jazz, (or a mixture!), the band delivers it at an exceptional standard.

In addition to playing up and down the country, they continue to dominate the vibrant Bournemouth bar and club scene of their home town; their popularity has already lead to a number of notable gigs. The were the natural choice for opening night at the exciting new Landmarc venue, performing first in the converted church and setting the standard for the level of entertainment to follow. They continue to return frequently.

The Band supported UK Top 10 Hit singer Shola Ama (You Might Need Somebody) when she came to the Landmarc. (see gallery) The singer was so impressed that she requested to play with the guys leading to an impromptu 5 song freestyle which had everyone on their feet.

They played 3 successive weeks due to popular demand at the German Market, often attracting crowds of up to 2000, braving the cold December weather to enjoy their music.

They excelled at the famous Bournemouth Black Ball, an annual event known for attracting leading entertainment, again playing to 1500 people ‘til the early hours.

The band also rocked the NHS Nurses Staff party, which took place on a luxury boat touring the local islands before taking anchor at sea, (literally) rocking the night away.
