Jimmy's House Band
Jimmy's House Band burst on to the scene 6 years ago. Even though their residency ended 4 years ago, those who saw them still seek them out; a testament to the enduring mark they left on those who enjoyed their weekly performances. The diary is still as busy as ever, however the band now only perform for private functions.
They are 6 good friends, all with a genuine love of playing music that excites people. All are top musicians; many of whom have made names for themselves on the London circuit, playing worldwide renowned venues such as the Jazz Café, Ronnie Scott's, Glastonbury, The Royal Albert Hall, in addition to recording for both radio and television.
The band have grown and evolved - gaining invaluable experience, ensuring that they always deliver.
Whether it be a stomping party set you are after, modern rock, soul, ratpack classics, funk or instrumental jazz, (or a mixture!), the band delivers it at an exceptional standard.
The musicians continue to have a strong presence across the South East; each continually improving and better than ever. Every member now performs in other ensmbles as well - resulting in fresh influences and a renewed energy every time they return to play together.
The Band backed UK Top 10 Hit singer Shola Ama (You Might Need Somebody) when she came to the Landmarc. (see gallery) and also supported Sly And The Family Stone on their recent UK tour.
They played 3 successive weeks due to popular demand at the German Market in Bournemouth, often attracting crowds of up to 2000, braving the cold December weather to enjoy their music.
Other memorable performances include the renowned Bournemouth Black Ball; an annual event recognised for attracting leading entertainment, again playing to 1500 people ‘til the early hours.
And now they want to play for you!
