I am one of the solo pianists available at Michael Hall Music and have been playing solo piano for both wedding ceremonies, and as background music throughout the day for over 10 years now. I was classically trained for 11 years, and began learning piano at the age of 6.
Although a lover of both Jazz and Blues, it is contemporary music in which I hope I have earned my reputation; I have built an extensive repertoire over the years, which I continually try to add to. I am able to play in a range of styles from the 1920's, through to popular tunes currently in the charts - please see a small sample of some of the songs and styles that are available to you here.
If you let me know a few of the artists or musical genres you enjoy listening to, I can then create a tailor made setlist to suit you; ensuring that you both get to hear the music that you love, including any tunes that may be particularly special between you.
I offer both ceremony packages and background music packages for throughout the day. If it is the ceremony that you require my serivices for, I will happily learn any requests you may have for your entrance music, the signing of the register and your exit music.
In addition to playing for weddings, I have had extensive experience playing in some of London's most prestigious restaurants and hotels. I am an experienced recording artist - I can be heard on the Christmas special of BBC 1's Gavin & Stacy and New Years Eve Live. I was also asked to play for Jamie Oliver at his Christmas function at the 5 star Andaz Hotel in London.
I have a full size digital piano and amplification for venues without a piano.
